Roberto Zappalà’s creation Liederduett has been prepared by two productions: ‘CORPO A CORPO’ (Body to Body) and ‘COME LE ALI’ (Like wings).

Like the Wings explores through the story of Cain and Abel a world that is known to us all and yet illusory.
An utopic exploration of coexistence at its best, linked to human harmony, connection, intimacy that should bind all animal and vegetable organisms, in perfect symbiosis.
Symbiosis embodies connection and unity over strife, fratricide and violence, it shows equity and community. And what greater, more immediate way to show this than by using dance, the great metaphor of harmony, simultaneity and synchronicity? The symbiosis of two moving bodies that almost seem to blend into a new biological entity. The wings referred to in the title evoke birds, angels, bodily and imaginary functions that represent a metaphor of unison and symbiosis. They also evoke loyalty, a moral symbiosis in human interactions. Like wings aims to explore the possibility of a utopia from the nothingness of the original murder.

It represents another addition to the series entitled Transiti Humanitatis (Human Passageways) with references that hark back to, and reinforce, the possibility of a new dawn, a theme also explored in Oratorio per Eva (Oratory for Eva).
