LUCIA SARDO

Actress, director and author, she trained in the Teatro di Ventura, a theatrical research group in Treviglio (BG). In 1980, together with his companions, he founded the Institute of Theater Culture in Santarcangelo di Romagna, of which he directed and organized the Festival del Teatro in Piazza for several years, one of the most important experimental festivals in Europe.

In those years she met and was a student of the most interesting researchers of the last century: Jerzy Grotowski, Eugenio Barba, Katzuko Azuma, Torgheir Weithal, Julian Beck, Judith Malina, Enrique Pardo, Dario Fò and Franca Rame, Ryszard Cieslak, Laurie Anderson, Ludwig Flazen , Mimmo Cuticchio, Marisa Fabbri, Carlo Merlo, Raul Ruiz, Tapa Sudana, Mamadou Dioume, Pippo Del Bono, Yurek Owsiak, Tonino Guerra, Gregory Corso, Odin Teatret, Teatro della Valdoca, Akademia Ruchu, Banda Osiris, Pocket Theater of Bergamo, Pontedera Theater, Potlach Theater, Gardzienice Theater, Els Comediants and Roy Hart Theater.

She has been a partner of actors and musicians such as Penélope Cruz, Laura Betti, Monica Bellucci, Magherita Buy, Lino Banfi, Nino Manfredi, Beppe Fiorello, Raul Bova, Riccardo Scamarcio, Luca Argentero, Carlo Verdone, Vittoria Puccini, Terence Hill, Antonio Catania, Ninni Bruschetta, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Davide Coco, Marco Leonardi, Rori Quattrocchi, Tiziana Lodato, Nino Frassica, Piera degli Esposti, Luca Zingaretti, Gigi Lo Cascio, Enrico Rava, Salvatore Buonafede, Claudia Gerini, Sabrina Impacciatore, Donatella Finocchiaro and Cristiana Capotondi .

Thanks to I Cento Passi, the winner of the Silver Lion, nominated for the Oscar for best foreign film, she is nominated for the Silver Ribbon Award.


MARCELLO CAPPELLI

He trained as an actor and trainer within that theatrical movement that took the name of Terzo teatro, originating from the research started by the Russian director Konstantin Stanislavskij, which continued through the research of Jerzy Grotowski and the work on theatrical anthropology by Eugenia Barba, director of Odin Teatret, which originated in Europe from the 1960s and created the theatrical revolution on which the new theater is based today. For the research undertaken, over time, he had several meetings with the masters who gave birth to contemporary theater, masters who placed the actor’s body at the center of the research. He signs the direction of almost all the shows of Lucia Sardo, with whom he has been collaborating for over 20 years.

He currently works as a coach in cinema. He studied and collaborated with various institutions and actors, including the Actora-Wroclaw Institute (Poland), a research institute on the actor founded by Jerzy Grotowski. Over 3 years he worked with actor Stanislao Scierrski (body and voice) and Ludwik Flaszen (co-founder and director of the institute); He participated in the Laboratory on biomechanical actor training directed by Russian actor Gennadi N. Bogdanov of the Moscow Theater, student of an actor of the same Vsevolod Mejercol’d. With Mimmo Cuticchio he worked for several years as a puppeteer and learned the art of cunto (story) from him. For years he has followed the work of the actor’s voice directed by Enrique Pardo at the Roy Hart Theater, an international research center on the expression of voices in all its branches. For one year he went to India at the Unnay Warrier Smaraka Kanylayam school in Irinijalakuda, Kerala and followed the courses for the training of the actor Kathakali, traditional dance theater.

Follows meetings with the Living Theater directed by Julian Beck and Judit Malina. To these experiences are added study meetings with Pablo Alarcon, Argentine actor and director; Augusto Boal, Argentine director who founded the Teatro dell’Oppresso; study meetings with the actors of the Potlach Theater in Fara Sabina; T.R.A.C. theater of Caracas directed by Miguel Ponce, Marisa Fabri, Carlo Merlo speech therapist at the Academy of Dramatic Art Silvo D’Amico in Rome and Jersy Sturr of the Stary theater in Krakow.
