Liquid Traces: the case of the Left-to-Die boat

Liquid traces a video opera by Heller / Pezzani presented by Aldo Premoli (co-founder of the non-profit Onlus Mediterraneo Sicilia Europa) offering a critical analysis on the transformation of the Mediterranean into a militarized border and on the violence exercised on migrants by explicitly referring to the events that occurred in March 2011 in which most of the 72 passengers lost their lives aboard a boat that was trying to reach the coast of Lampedusa from Libya, the so-called “left-to-die-boat” case.
