Alain El Sakhawi learned artistic gymnastic, Shotokan Karate and Wu Shu for 10 years in Paris. After attended a professional course In Paris in dancing, he has been working as a dancer in France, Germany and Italy. Since 2006 he is working for the Compagnia Zappala Danza in Catania (Italy) as a dancer and professor of the specialization course moδem©.
From 2008 he is starting to direct and edit personal video dance and promotional clips for companies in Paris.
He founded the « QBR Collective » with Valeria Zampardi and Fernando Roldan Ferrer and bases their work on combining language of movement and grammar of cinema.
After winning 3 prices in the « La Danza in 1 minuto-ed.2015 » contest, he is now associated with COORPI – Coordinazione Danza Piemonte for the production of his last short movie « We no longer wait for the Barbarians » and with Scenario Pubblico /Compagnia Zappalà Danza Centro di produzione della Danza as a resident videomaker since 2014. The movie as been awarded in the « Bucarest Dance film Festival 2017 » with « Honorable Mention for Innovation » and has been selected in over 10 European and international dance film festivals.

Since 2015 Alain is associated artist to Scenario Pubblico as a videomaker
