born in 1979, is an Italian choreographer and performer.

He arrives at contemporary dance after violin and theater studies, in parallel with Physics, at the University of Turin. Training in the field of dance was mainly done in Italy, with periods of research and work in Belgium. In 2009, following scouting by centro Mosaico Danza, he began his journey as an author. He looks at contemporary issues through a scientific eye and starts to feel the need to investigate our society with workshops and research aimed at socially fragile groups. Following this direction, PostProduzione # LAB starts in 2016. It involves over 60, people with disabilities and asylum seekers. During the encounters in the workshops, they are accompanied on a path toward mutual knowledge and dance.

Today, Andrea has been selected as artist-in-residence for his new project at the Centro Nazionale di Produzione della Danza Scenario Pubblico / CZD, directed by Roberto Zappalà, where Pièce per Cinque, focusing on refugees, will present at FIC 2020 festival Scenario Pubblico Festival 2019. The project will enjoy a residency at La Factory – Theatre de L’Oulle / Avignon in march 2019, and started in Arzachena’s Auditorium with the support of CEDAC Sardegna – multidisciplinary circuit in march 2018.

That future quintet constitutes the last part of a bigger project called PostProduzione, which includes a trilogy of works and a workshop. The second work in the trilogy is a female PostProduzioneDUO, which was created with the support of some Italian Ministry Residencies, as Lavanderia a Vapore by the regional network Piemonte dal Vivo, Settimo Cielo / Teatro di Arsoli, CLAPSpettacolodalvivo, Hangartfest’s ESSERE CREATIVO 2016 and AMAT.

The first work of the trilogy, PostProduzioneTRIO, was co-produced by the prestigious ORIENTE OCCIDENTE 2015 festival, where it debuts.

In 2014, the work I meet you… if you want premiered in Made.it, a project by TORINODANZA festival in collaboration with INTERPLAY festival. Thanks to that work, Andrea was selected for the internationally touring Dance Roads 2014 – Canada, France, Italy, Netherland, UK – with support from the EU and Mosaico Danza.

The work Occhi received a special mention for choreographic research in DanzaUrbanaXL 2017. Andrea’s work has been selected for the national Vetrina della Giovane Danza d’Autore@ 2014 and 2015 by the AnticorpiXL network and by the international network Les Reperages 2013.

Andrea was finalist at Les HiverOclites 2015 in Avignon and at the Premio Equilibrio Roma 2014.

Andrea won support from DE.MO / MOVIN’UP I sess. 2013 of MiBACT (Italian Culture Ministry) & GAI (associazione dei Giovani Artisti Italiani). In 2012, he was chosen for the residency programme by Les Reperages network in Dance East.

At present, Andrea’s works have been presented in 9 foreign countries and 10 Italian regions in several festivals, such as:
