Antoine Roux-Briffaud

He was born in 1986 in west France, and he started the study of music and traditional dance before discovering the body expression and contemporary dance. He entered the CNSMD (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse) of Lyon, and graduated in 2007. He collaborated for various multidisciplinary projects (among them also operas) and approached japanese culture visiting Japan and collaborating for several choreographic works on site, based on Butoh. He started his professional career as a dancer with Roberto Zappalà (with the production « Instrument 1 » in Catania) and with Yuval Pick (The Guests Company – Lione) and at the same time he has been involved in more personal works with the Association Mâ, based in Lyon. From 2011 to 2015 he follows Yuval Pick ad a dancer in the permanent company at the Centre Chorégraphique National de Rillieux-la-Pape (CCNR – Francia).
Afterwards as a free-lance dancer he joins the creations 2016 by Martin Forsberg(Forsworks – Copenhagen) and by Christian Rizzo (ICI-CCN – Montpellier) and the 2017 creation by Ambra Senatore (CCN de Nantes/Francia), at the same moment he collaborates again with the Compagnia Zappalà Danza for the production Romeo e Giulietta 1.1 (la sfocatura dei corpi).
In 2015 he graduated in Political Science and Diplôme d’Etat as contemporary dance professor.
