Delphina Parenti grew up in a family of performers. She received her BFA from The Juilliard School in 2007 where she performed works by Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Twyla Tharp, Azsure Barton, and Eliot Feld. Professionally Delphina has been a member of USA based companies Company XIV, gaga-based LeeSaar the Company, Gallim Dance, Pam Tanowitz Dance, Anatomiae Occultii, Nadine Bommer Dance Company, and Company | E. With Company | E she has performed works by L-E-V (Sharon Eyal/Gai Behar), Yossi Berg and Oded Graf, Paul Taylor, Kate Weare, Alex Neoral, Brenda Way/ODC Dance, and Lidia Wos. In Germany Delphina has worked as a guest dancer with the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, and currently performs with Nationaltheater Mannheim as a soloist in the opera “Il Trovatore”. She will start working with Compagnia Zappalà Danza in November 2019.
Delphina teaches Animato Dance Art – the improvisatory methodology of Israeli choreographer Nadine Bommer. She also functions as a cultural ambassador to Company | E, teaching Animato Dance Art and contemporary masterclasses internationally. She is the recipient of the Metro DC Dance Award 2009 for “Outstanding Individual Performance”.
