FRANCESCA PENNINI (IT)

Francesca Pennini has been studying ballet and rhythmic gymnastics, butoh dance and martial arts, apnea and competitive disco dance through all her life. Subsequently she studied at the Balletto di Toscana and at the Laban Center in London. She has been a freelance dancer for Sasha Waltz & Guests. Artistic director of CollettivO CineticO. In 2017 she created Bolero – The head down tribe for the Compagnia del Balletto di Roma. She dedicates herself in particular to educational courses for teenagers and the training of professionals collaborating as a teacher for numerous national and international companies.

CollettivO CineticO,  founded in 2007 by the choreographer Francesca Pennini, is today a mobile network of over 50 artists from different disciplines. The main focus of the research is the discussion of the nature of the performative event and of the relationship with the viewer through playful and rigorous formats and devices that move between dance, theater and visual arts. The company is resident at the Teatro Comunale in Ferrara and today has produced 51 creations receiving numerous awards.
