GIOIA MARIA MORISCO

She was born in 1983, and she studied contemporary dance in Paris at La Mènagerie de Verre and at the studio Peter Goss. In 2006 she returned in Italy and graduated in Phylosophy at the University of Bologna. In 2010 she obtains the Diploma at the Dance Academy directed by Susanna Beltrami. Afterwards she partecipated at “Arsenale della Danza”, Project of high formation at La Biennale di Venezia, artistic director Ismael Ivo. At the same time she has been selected as a young choreographer and invited to participate to several editions of Choreographic Collision, choreographic formation produced by the Associazione Danzavenezia and La Biennale di Venezia. In those years she performed in different projects, among them with Ismael Ivo, Kenji Takagi, Geyvan McMillen e Tan Temel (Istanbul Dance Theatre), Josè Navas (Compagnie Flak), Daniel Lèveillé, Inaki Azpillaga, Ryuzo Fukuhara, Jasmeen Godder and Itzik Galili
Since 2011 she has been holding contemporary dance classes and choreographic workshops at the professionale formation course Dance Start Up in Bologna, at Leggere Strutture. From 2011 to 2014 she collaborated as a dancer with the Compagnia Artemis Danza directed by Monica Casadei, for the productions Traviata and Doppia Notte.
In 2013 she meets Roberto Zappalà, she participates to the project Modem Pro and starts to collaborate with the Compagnia Zappalà Danza for the production “Invenzioni a tre voci”.
