ACASA is the project for choreographic residencies that the National Dance Production Center Scenario Pubblico /Compagnia Zappalà Danza has been promoting since 2015.

The main mission is to support and accompany the different generations of choreographers working in a contemporary context, without any geographical, age or stylistic limits.

This ACASA call is valid for two years and refers to the period 2022-2023.

The National Dance Production Centre Scenario Pubblico CZD announces the call ACASA 2022-2023 for resident artists or companies with the aim of identifying choreographic projects for which to guarantee a period of residency aimed at the creation and staging of a piece.

The residency will be divided into two moments:

• creative residence – during the year 2022 the selected artists will have at their disposal the rehearsal room and annexed services of the structure, to develop part of their own project

• technical residency – during the year 2023, also provides for the use of the theater/black box with the technique, and the selected project will be presented at the FIC Fest (end of April 2023) in the form of a short-time (max 30 min).

6 projects will be selected according to a ranking.

The duration and period of the residency will be agreed upon after the selection of the projects, based on what has been declared by the candidates in the application form, and in consideration of the already defined programme of Scenario Pubblico.
