CALL 2024/2025 OPEN – TERM FOR APPLICATIONS 15 DECEMBER 2023
ACASA is the project of choreographic residencies that the Center of Relevant National Interest for Dance Scenario Pubblico/Compagnia Zappalà Danza has been promoting since 2015.
The main mission is to support and accompany the various generations of choreographers working in a contemporary context, without any geographical or stylistic limits.
This ACASA call is valid for two years 2024-2025, and is addressed to choreographers OVER 30.
The Center of Relevant National Interest Scenario Pubblico announces the ACASA 2024-2025 call for artists or companies with the aim of identifying choreographic projects for which to guarantee a period of residence aimed at the creation and staging of a piece that will be presented in its spaces during the FIC Festival 2025.
The residence will be divided into two moments:
creative residency – during the year 2024. The selected artists will have at their disposal the rehearsals studios and annexed services of the Centre, to develop part of their project.
technical residency – during the year 2025. The artists will have at their disposal the use of the rehearsals studios as well of the stage (Black Box) with the technique. The project will be presented at the audience in the form of a short-time performance (max 30 min) within the programming of the FIC Festival 2025.

A maximum of 6 projects will be selected.
Applicants must be 30 years old on 21.01.2024. With the same score, artists who were not hosted in the previous edition will be privileged.
Requests must be duly completed and sent by 15 December 2023.
The Artistic Direction will communicate the selection by 10.01.2024, the selected ones must confirm their participation by 20.01.2024
Duration and period of the residency will be agreed after the selection of the projects on the basis of what the candidates declare in the application form, and in consideration of the already defined planning of Scenario Pubblico
