SELECTIONS ARE OPEN FOR:

MODEM PRO (fall section: September 11 – December 17, 2023 / winter section: January 15 – April 21, 2024)

MODEM ATELIER (October 2, 2023 – May 31, 2024)

MODEM PRO is the professional program lasting 4 month, aimed at the deepening of the choreographic language of Compagnia Zappalà Danza and addressed to professionals and semi-professionals min.20 years old. At the end of the program up to a maximum of 6 dancers will be selected to join the CZD2 giovane compagnia zappalà danza.

Each year 2 different sections of the MoDem Pro are offered (fall section September 11-December 17, 2023 / winter section: January 15- April 21, 2024), those interested can indicate their preference during the application.

Applications will be accepted until the maximum number of participants is reached. Participation takes place only and exclusively by selection and is limited to a maximum of 30 participants. Once the maximum number of selected dancers in the fall section is reached, the following applications will be evaluated for the winter section.

MODEM ATELIER (October 2, 2023 – May 31, 2024)

MODEM ATELIER is a two-year course with a 8-month annual activity focused on specialization in contemporary choreographic languages and is intended as an opportunity for the growth and in-depth study of the technical skills necessary for a start in professional dance. It is also the tool to bring young dance students into the world of the language of Compagnia Zappalà Danza. The course is limited in number, designed for a maximum of 20 participants at least 18 years old, selected by audition.

The next edition of MoDem Atelier will be held in the spaces of Scenario Pubblico – Centre of Relevant National Interest, Catania – from October 2, 2023 – to May 31, 2024.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

3 scholarships of 800 euros for male dancers:

in memory of Sergio, nephew of Roberto Zappalà, this year too scholarships will be offered to 3 male dancers between the age of 20 and 22, who have passed the selection for the MoDem PRO.

Scholarships worth 800 euros each will be assigned following a ranking based on the selections.
